3 Tips To Exterminate Termites In Your Home

1. Remove All Damaged Wood

All damaged wood on your home should be removed. This means wood that was damaged by termites and wood that was damaged by water as well. Inspect your home for water damage and make the necessary repairs, replacing wood where needed and removing any wood that has been inhabited by termites as well.

2. Burn The Wood

Burn all pieces of wood that you can that were damaged by these pests, as it will also kill any of their larvae that may be in the wood as well. Don't keep the wood around for burning later, it needs to be burned immediately.

3. Spray For Termites

Spray a pesticide to help kill these pests as well. Spray the area surrounding where you had the termite problem in your home and spray around your home where you may see signs of termites such as feces, wings, dead termites, or termite tunnels. Spray all of these areas with a pesticide that is made to kill termites and protect your home against these pests.
